“Limoni in Festa 2024”: the festival 48th edition
July 11 – 14, 2024: walks, tastings and performances to celebrate one of the symbols of local gastronomy. Massa Lubrense is ready to host Limoni in Festa 2024, an event dedicated to celebrating local cuisine and cultural traditions. Organized by the Pro Loco Massa Lubrense association with the support and contribution of the Municipality, this annual event is now in its 48th edition. The celebration will take place from Thursday, July 11, to Sunday, July 14, in Largo Vescovado, which will become the vibrant heart of the festive activities.
Limoni in Festa: the program
On Thursday, July 11, from 19:00 to 21:00, is scheduled the first event. It will feature “The Adventures of Captain Lemon”, with animated readings and fun activities for children and families, curated by Barattoli Cosmici.
On Friday, July 12, meet in Largo Vescovado at 19:00 for the walk titled “Among the Sacred Lemons”, organized by the Massa Lubrense branch of Archeoclub.
The craft and local product stands will open on Saturday, July 13, at 18:30. Visitors strolling through the city center can immerse themselves in a tasting tour dedicated to the lemon, the symbol of Massa Lubrense, renowned for its quality and its prominent use in local cuisine.
The shows
Both evenings of the event will feature entertainment. On Saturday, July 13, at 21:00, attendees can enjoy the concert “The Treasure of San Gennaro“. It’s a musical event that will enchant with unique melodies and atmospheres.
On Sunday, July 14, the festivities continue with a special musical performance. At 21:00, Gemelli di Guidonia will be on stage with their show “Three x Two – Between Radio and TV”. They will entertain with music and comedy, celebrating the importance of radio and television in Italian popular culture.
